Permeable Interlocking Concrete Pavement

Permeable Interlocking Concrete Pavement (PICP) consists of solid concrete paving units with joints that create openings in the pavement surface when assembled into a pattern. The joints are filled with permeable aggregates that allow water to freely enter the surface. The paving units are placed on a bedding layer of permeable aggregates which rest over a base and subbase of open graded aggregates. The PICP, bedding, and base layers are typically restrained by a concrete curb. The base and subbase store water and allow it to infiltrate into the soil subgrade. Perforated underdrains in the base and subbase are used to remove water that does not infiltrate within a given design period (48-72 hours). Separation geotextiles are used to prevent entrance of fines from adjacent soils.

Storm Water Storage

Storm water storage chambers are utilized to form a strong, effective underground storage unit infiltration cavity for storm water management.  These systems are suitable for installations adjacent to and underneath driveways, parking lots, athletic fields, and highways.  The storm water chambers maximize the infiltration and exfiltration of storm water.
